Urban and Regional Planner
With his strong planning and design professionalism, Richard has had extensive practice working in Urban and Regional planning. He worked on various masterplans and strategic plan. Since 2004, Richard has worked in the Planning and Design industry gaining experience on a wide
range of projects from single residential dwellings and multi-residential mixed-use projects to large scale commercial developments and masterplans.
He spent time in Dubai, U.A.E. with several notable companies like Atkins, Brewer Smith and Brewer Gulf, B.E.A.D. Architects and The Abu Dhabi Municipality. He worked on various commercial developments like the Business Bay Executive towers in Dubai and the Masdar City, Zero carbon footprint developments in Abu Dhabi.
Migrating to Canberra in 2017, Richard has since worked with Peckvonhartel, one of the leading commercial practices in the city. He worked on the Founder’s Lane project and the Molonglo Fire
station. From there Richard has since worked on the planning and delivering the Republic Precinct and several other mixed-use multi-residential developments around Canberra in various capacities.

With her strong organizational skills, coupled with her design acumen, Joan has acquired an extensive range of projects in her portfolio.
Since 2002, She has been working on projects ranging from Residential, Commercial/Office Fit-outs to high end Hotels and F&B establishments to educational facilities. She has also been involved in a variety of Mixed-use developments. With varying design requirements and considerations, she has been able to deliver projects that meets the client’s expectations.
In Dubai, U.A.E, Joan has worked with several leading Architectural and Interior Design firms like KEO International, Brewer Smith and Brewer Gulf (BSBG) and Dileonardo International.
She has worked extensively on various Hospitality projects and has varying roles in the delivery of projects, ranging from conceptual design to project construction administration. Migrating to Canberra in 2017, Joan has since worked with Geocon, one of the leading Construction
companies in the city, as part of the Design team. She has worked on Interiors for the Hotel and mixed-use multi-residential developments of the following projects High Society, Grand Central Towers, City 7 and Aspen, including the Summer Housing Units at Grand Central Towers.
Joan has since started their own Architectural and Interior Design firm/practice – Design Studio G•A (DSGA) and has started to deliver renovations, houses and several other mixed-use multi-residential
developments around Canberra in various range.
Design Studio G.A consists of Architects, Interior designers, and documenters that worked on projects in multiple jurisdictions in Australian and Overseas. Our overseas team handles most of documentation, while coordination is done locally.
We focus on creating a unique solution to each project with a strong relationship to brief and context. With our knowledge and experience across various types of projects: multi-use, commercial ,residential ,educational ,retail and hospitality, our designs focus on a high-quality and detail with emphasis on providing the required and appropriate services needed by each project.
While we are currently involved with small-scale projects, we have extensive experience on large scale projects particularly on multi-residential buildings and apartments and hotels, having worked for multinational companies locally and abroad
